It is the policy of PKF to conduct our business in an environmentally sound manner.
In particular, it is PKF’s policy to:
Ensure that our operations, products, and services comply with all relevant statutory requirements.
Strive to continuously improve our environmental performance.
Ensure that our people have the knowledge, skills, and other resources necessary to meet our obligations and fulfill our commitment to environmental care.
Ensure that our business has the management systems and operating procedures necessary to identify, monitor and control the impact of our operations on the environment.
Ensure that the subcontractors, suppliers, and others with whom we do business are aware of our environmental policy.
Continuously monitor and respond constructively to evolving community expectations in relation to environmental responsibility.
Communicate openly and constructively with employees, customers, relevant authorities, and the community generally on environmental issues relating to our products and operations.
PKF, in conjunction with its suppliers and subcontractors, has implemented the following waste management policies.
All reasonably sized off-cuts of vinyl, carpet or rubber will be donated to the TAFE College for use in the trade courses.
PKF ensures that all installation related products are amongst the lowest VOC emissions available. This is to ensure that all installers and end users are protected against any potentially harmful emissions.
PKF promote flooring products that have sound environmental credentials and where possible are involved with “take back” schemes that offer product off cut recycling, ensuring the best possible outcome for minimising environmental impact.
